Lavender & Scythe began in 2024 in our cozy Salem apartment, born from a shared love of crafting, community, and rolling natural 20s. The name itself comes from our beloved Dungeons & Dragons characters—Benji, a stubborn emo kid with a lot of heart and jokes, and Jacoby, a fierce grim reaper with a soft spot for this one human that to him, smells like lavender. Together, they were chaos, charm, and literally undying love — just like us.

As a proudly LGBTQIA+ couple, we wanted to build something magical that reflected our passions: handcrafting intentional goods, celebrating nerd culture, and creating a welcoming space for everyone at our table. Our shop is a tribute to the beauty of handmade things, the joy of fantasy worlds, and the power of community.
